Media
Dialectic Magazine by nature of its mandate and mission has roots in being media itself. Media is a much more prolific presence in many forms. Notwithstanding our status as a small part of what is considered to be media, we will be examining the role, influence, nature, and effects of media on how people feel about themselves and the world in which they live.
Dialectic Magazine will also explore the many ways in which media drives the paradox of our experience. Paradoxical experience that in many ways informs and is helpful to us. And, a paradox of experience that in many ways adds to the stress of our lives.
Is media a distraction? Is media informative in helpful ways? Is there too much fear-mongering in media? Is media covering the stories that most effect our lives or is media too often becoming the content of the story instead of covering events and issues in objective ways? Why are there so many important issues that media fails to cover?
These are just a few of the questions we’ll be addressing as time goes on.
